Treasure Mountain 4--More Miscellany

Something to remember.

Walking the road between camp and all the action.

Sometimes camp was a lot like school.

Happy Sam

I don't remember why the cookie was significant. Wait! Grant says that it isn't a cookie but his carving project. It is a fish.

Sorry, Grant.

Table Mountain eluded us during camp, but not for long . . .

One of our commissioners has an interesting sunburn.

Austin and Weston. Or was it Weston and Austin?

Treasure Mountain 3--The Waterfront

A near miss.

These Scouts were happiest on the water.

Treasure Mountain 2--The Hike

At the South Teton Canyon trailhead.

A happy camper--literally!

Mountain men know that they are cool.

Bullwinkle.

The scenery was not bad. Not bad at all.

Bros Taylor, Jones, and Ashcraft brought their time, leadership, and smiles to camp.
Sorry, Jared. I didn't have a camera early in the week.

Tuesday, Saturday, and Camp

Amigos,

We leave for Scout Camp one week from today (August 2). We have a lot to do between now and then! To keep things interesting, the Scoutmaster will be departing for Canada just as we enter the critical phase of our preparation. Here a few things to keep in mind.
  • We won't have a Tuesday meeting this week.
  • We will meet for an equipment check Saturday, July 31 at 8:00 AM at the church. Be there and be prepared. Use the equipment list posted on the blog (http://hunsaker212.blogspot.com/). Bring it all for review.
  • Please review our expectations for conduct with your Scout.
    1. Wear Scout shirt to all flag ceremonies and campfire programs.
    2. Use the buddy system!
    3. Complete your assignments from your patrol leader promptly and cheerfully.
    4. Scriptures and prayer every night by 10:00.
    5. Treat others--Scouts and leaders--with respect.
    6. Work hard.
    7. Have fun.
  • We will be reviewing merit badge plans after the equipment check. Please review available required badges with your son in the Camp Leader's Guide.
  • We will operate as patrols during camp.
    • The A Team: AJ, CJ, Chris, Dom, Brandon
    • Patrol B: Wes, Connor, Grant, Kyle
  • Here's our camp schedule. Brent, Jared, does that look right? If any of you are available, we could use more mid-week Dads.
